Gaia

“Those of us who consider ourselves to be somehow involved in the birthing of a new age, should discover Gaia as well. The idea of Gaia may facilitate the task of converting destructive human activities to constructive and cooperative behavior. It is an idea which deeply startles us, and in the process, may help us as a species to make the necessary jump to planetary awareness.”
– James Lovelock

Seasons of Change

The Tides of Nature

The ever turning wheel of the seasons mark the passing of our year and the passage of time in nature.

Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter offer four perfect occasions for us to reflect on our lives and make offerings of gratitude to connect ourselves with the cycles of Mother Earth.

  • Plan a special walk in nature once each season and make an offering of bird seed or whatever else seems appropriate.
  • Celebrate the changing seasons by making a dream board with images of your intentions for the following season.
  • One of the most meaningful offerings we can make is to place ourselves directly in nature for a period of time with no distractions.
  • Share your hopes and dreams and what you plan to do to accomplish them. Speak so that the earth, trees and other living beings around you can hear and witness your intentions. Speak from the heart.

thought for the day: Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself  to the influence of each. Let them be your only diet, drink and botanical medicines. Be blown on by all the winds. Open your pores and bathe in all the tides of nature, in all her streams and oceans, at all seasons.  – Henry David Thoreau

Everyday Goddessing  is about sharing magical techniques and sacred wisdom with other beautiful Goddess women. I believe that within every woman there is a goddess, a wise woman, beautiful, creative, powerful, with a deep soul, and that everything we need and are looking for is already inside  each of us. – Rose Arizmendi
