A Reiki practitioner often receives requests for Distant Reiki sessions, and unless we want to spend every day and every night fulfilling all these requests, we need to create a Reiki envelope, book or a Reiki Box.
In the beginning you may only need an envelope where you can place the names of people who have requested Reiki, but as your practice grows you will need to find something a little more substantial. I personally prefer the Reiki Box, although I have also used Reiki packets, books and envelopes.
My Reiki Box – Collage & Rhinestones on a box.
The Reiki Box can be any container in which you can put names, photos or both, of people who have requested Reiki. Some practitioners use a shoe box while others prefer something more elaborate. It really doesn’t matter because Reiki always goes where it is needed.
When you have selected your box, you will need to clear it of any unwanted energies, you can do this by smudging it or by drawing the Power Symbol on all sides of the box.
Next, you will need to write down the names of those who need Reiki on slips of paper and place these inside the box. After you have done this, draw the Reiki symbols in the following order and focus on sending Reiki.
You may send Reiki daily or weekly depending on need. I use index cards in my Reiki Box and go through them periodically and remove the cards of those who no longer require Reiki. You may want to write down the name, date and issue on each card and attach a photo if you have one.
One other thing I do is write out this message on a slip of paper and place it in the bottom of the box.
“Reiki for all beings who wish to receive it.”

Crystal singing bowls are one of the most powerful tools for relaxing the body and mind. Like many forms of alternative vibrational healing, such as Reiki, flower essences, and crystals, the singing bowls help to dissolve energetic blockages in our chakras, allowing our body to return to it’s natural state of balance.
I received my first crystal singing bowl in the late 90’s, during a time in my my life where I found myself feeling particularly tired and exhausted. One day during my lunch break I visited a shop where they had a beautiful sanctuary set up with all kinds of crystal bowls, water fountains, and statuary. As I was admiring the crystal bowls, the owner offered to play them for me.
We then sat on floor cushions and she began playing the bowls. I felt my whole body begin vibrating, and when she had finished I felt completely relaxed, renewed, and invigorated. It was such a wonderful experience!
Later, when I brought my first bowl home I placed it in my meditation room and began exploring several ways of working with it. I started using aromatherapy by rubbing the rim with essential oil and as I played the bowl the fragrance was released into the air. Heavenly!
My first Crystal Singing Bowl – Root Chakra
Inspired by Dr. Masaru Emoto’s book “Messages From Water”, I started making flower essences using my crystal bowl and was amazed as I watched the flower essence water dance, creating patterns as I played the bowl.
Over the years, I have collected both Crystal and Tibetan Singing bowls, and they have become part of my own spiritual healing journey. I took my time selecting my bowls and sometimes years passed before I bought my next one. The journey has been slow but very rewarding.
Here is a site which may help you wade through all the debate and stories surrounding singing bowls.

It is the end of October and the doorway to the dark half of the year swings open. Samhain the season of frost and firelight is upon us as we light our candles for our beloved ancestors.
On this night we pray for all those who no longer walk in this world and breathe a special blessing for those we have lost this year.
Blessings to you all!

Kyanite is one of my favorite stones! It is excellent for aligning all of the energy centers and is especially good for the 5th and 6th chakras. It is a very powerful stone which allows access to the Universal Energy that enhances your body’s abilities to heal.
When using Kyanite during a Chakra Balancing Session you may want to place this stone between the heart and navel chakras. It may also be used between the heart and third eye for encouraging self expression.
One of the wonderful things about Kyanite is it does not accumulate or retain negative energies, therefore you never have to clean or clear it.
It is a great stone for artists, actors, writers, dancers and for anyone who wants a little help with their creative endeavors, and is also known as the “Serenity Stone” which enhances ones sense of inner peace and tranquility.

When I woke up this morning the sky was dark and heavy with fog as I slowly made my way to the kitchen to heat some water for my morning cup of tea. These days I find myself turning in towards myself, towards contemplation, meditation in preparation for the cooler days ahead. The wheel turns!
