Gregg Braden – Thoughts From Gregg
Did you know that trees talk? Well they do. They talk to each other, and they will talk to you if you listen. Trouble is you don’t listen. But I have learned a lot from the trees: sometimes about weather, sometimes about animals, sometimes about the Great Spirit. Tatanga Mani (Walking Buffalo) 1871– 1967
Physicist Ed Wagner has found evidence that trees talk to each other in a language he calls W-waves. The speed of W-waves measure about 3 ft per second through the air. They travel much too slowly to be electrical waves and they don’t seem to be electromagnetic waves at all.
He describes them as an altogether different entity. He goes on to say that people have known that there was communication between trees, but they explained it by the chemicals trees produce.
Building a personal relationship with trees, deepens our connection to Gaia. They carry great wisdom and if asked in a respectful way, they will share their ancient wisdom and knowledge with us.

A large part of connecting to the earth is learning to listen.
We may begin this process by committing to thirty days or evenings of sitting outdoors. Simply sit there quietly without any other distractions for 15 minutes to half an hour, and watch the world unfold around you, letting nature speak to you.
This practice opens our hearts and deepens our connection to Gaia, allowing us to see the world as alive and vibrant, not just a backdrop to a busy life. You will find that your perceptions will begin to slowly change, your awareness extending outside of your body with a new found sensitivity with the natural world around you.
We find our power by developing a partnership, friendship, and relationship with nature. This not only grounds and balances our relationship with ourselves, but also with our family, loved ones, friends, and community.

Shaman Training Shamanic Training Tip – Sandra Ingerman
“The earth – so say the shamans – possesses a structure that is related in essence to that of the human body. Like us, it has breath – the air. Like us, it has a heart beat – the fiery magma. Like us, it has a skeletal system – the mountains and stones. Like us, it has musculature – the hills and forests. It has glands like us – it’s mineral wealth. And it has a consciousness, it’s own thought, of which we ourselves are merely one aspect.” – Marie-Lu Lorier
