January brought foggy mornings, swirling mists, dark shadows
and cold bitter nights as we settled into winter.
The colder days and nights made us want to tuck ourselves away
inside our cozy homes and linger by the hearth…
To light candles, to gather friends and family close…
To share stories, laughter, good food and make warm memories. . .
Moment to moment, we watched the ever changing colors of the sky…
The shifting light and shadows…Dancing in slow motion
across the wintry landscape…
January…is Silence…Reflection…Deep stillness…stark
Beautiful…Monochromatic…Serene…
Enchanting…
Wishing all of you many blessings of Harmony, magic, joy and peace in February!

“Everyday Goddessing is about sharing magical techniques and sacred wisdom with other
beautiful Goddess women. I believe that within every woman there is a goddess,
a wise woman, beautiful, creative, powerful, with a deep soul, and that everything
we need and are looking for is already inside each of us.” ~ rose arizmendi
Dew on the eyelids to awaken & refreshen the spirit and soul. . .
Early morning light spreading over damp grey moss. . .
The eternal cycle of renewal. . .
as the sun rises over the hills. . .

The woods restore my inner sense of balance. . .
as I listen to the ancient tongue of trees…
beneath the ever changing November sky
There is a consciousness that inhabits all things;
It’s in every tree, leaf, root and stone. . .
A deep magic that softly wraps itself around you
as the changing seasons…ebb and flow
Here deep in the woods…We are never alone.
Wishing you a beautiful November!

All Hallows Eve…
The edge of winter wrapping itself around me…
Slowly creeping into my bones…
as the old woman of the land approaches.
Tonight powerful energies flow between the worlds
As the golden amber veil thins and parts….
offering us a glimpse into the mysterious otherworld
The warm glow of candlelight in the window
A sign of welcome for our ancestors who draw near on this night
Cakes, cookies, homemade bread and other treats to delight
Waiting on a lovingly decorated table.
Tonight we will release that which is no longer needed
in our lives into the flickering flames of our hearth fires
We will treasure the hard earned lessons of the past year
and carry those into the coming new year.
Blessings to you and your loved ones.
Wishing you love, peace, healing
and joyous new beginnings
for this Celtic New Year

Breaths
“Those who have died have never, never left;
the dead are not under the earth,
They are in the rustling trees,
they are in the groaning woods
they are in the crying winds
they are in the moaning rocks
the dead are not under the earth
Tis the ancestors’ breath
when the fire’s voice is herd,
Tis’ the ancestors’ breath
in the voice of the water
Listen more often to things than to beings.”

At the most basic level, stone is the fabric of the earth, and
as such is a symbol of the everlasting.
The anthropomorphic view of the world sees stones and rocks
as the bones of Mother Earth.
They are the fundamental structure that supports all other aspects
of physical existence of earlier life~forms.

Talismanic Gemstones
Enchanted Baltic Amber ~ fossilized golden resin from an ancient forest kissed by the sun… Sacred amulet of protection … healing and magic.
Magical Carnelian ~ Wrapped in your fiery cloak of protection…your sacred magic warding off the evil eye. You are the door to the divine flame on the other side.
Charmed Amethyst ~Your watery cool touch…Shades of violet, blue and deep purple….a cloak of colored magic woven by Danu to protect and guide us through rivers of ancient magic.
Talismanic Jewelry for the Goddess within
Most of what we now call jewelry had it’s origins steeped in magic from ancient times. They were once called amulets, charms and talismans and thought to have magical protective qualities. Stones that were considered to be protective, powerful, healing and sacred, were used as charms for thousands of years by all social classes.
For those of us who create talismanic jewelry, there is often a presence of something beyond our understanding, an awareness, a connection with a deep and primal energy resting just below the surface of the stones and metals we work with.
A beautiful synergy, connectedness happens as we combine gemstones, crystals, sea shells, feathers, bones and other magical, unexpected components together to create one of a kind pieces for ourselves and friends.
I have a few favorite pieces of jewelry that I wear and change out with the seasons and lunar tides. Whether I use them as a form of prayer or protection, they hold stories and special meaning for me, and have become part of my journey. I also create additional pieces for others to enjoy. Among countless stones, one stone becomes saturated with
being because it constitutes a hierophany, or possesses mana,
or again because it commemorates a mythical act.

One of my favorite autumn rituals is taking walks along
The creek… drinking in the changes I see and hear….
Listening to the husky voices of the crows in the oak tree,
observing the ochre tinge just at the edges of the leaves
and inhaling that distinct scent of change in the air.
It is a wholesome and necessary thing
For us to turn again to the earth and in
The contemplation of her beauties
To know of wonder and humility.
~ Rachel Carson
People usually consider walking on water or in
thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle
is not to walk either on water or in thin air,
BUT TO WALK ON EARTH…
Every day we are engaged in a miracle
Which we don’t even recognize
A blue sky, white clouds, green leaves,
The black, curious eyes of a child…
Our own two eyes… All is a miracle.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Everyone, no matter what their cultural background
Has a right to discover the Sacred in Nature;
To heal and be redeemed spiritually by nature;
And to revere the ancestors. We are all
Haunted and saved by our memories.
