It was a hot weekend! Hot . . . So Hot!
We had really hot weather the whole weekend, a bit hotter than the normal temperature for this time of the year, for sure.
We stayed cool by drinking cold beverages, watching movies, and eating salads for dinner. It was so uncomfortably hot that we had to stay indoors most of the time. Thank goodness for the AC!!!
It is suppose to be cooler today and much cooler tomorrow. My plan for this morning is to weed and clean the flower beds in the garden.
quotes of the day:
“The greatest gift of the garden is the restoration of the five senses.” -Hanna Rion
“In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful.” -Abram L. Urban
How three simple words can change your life.
Louise Hay helps us to learn how to love and accept ourselves, this is the first step to bring an abundance of Peace, Love and Joy into our lives. Please visit her wonderful, inspirational website; www.louisehay.com
thought for the day;
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer.” ~ Rainer Maria Rilke
“At the heart of every desire is the desire to feel good. And so, the standard of success in life is not the things or the money, the standard of success is absolutely the amount of joy you feel.” -Esther Hicks
The emerald is a power stone, which helps to balance the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies, neutralizing any energy blockages in the fourth Chakra area.
I often use a raw emerald stone for opening or activating the Heart Chakra, and also use it to balance and protect the Heart Chakra.
It is an excellent stone for healers who may occasionally take on their clients issues, and a good choice for those in the ‘healing profession’, like Doctors, Nurses, Counselors, and Psychiatrists.
The emerald promotes serenity, healing, clarity, tranquility, harmony and love.
A friend of mine refers to it as “the stone of healing and hope”. I rather like that!
“All healing is first a healing of the heart.”
– Carl Townsend
Over the weekend, I read an article about a local artist that creates wonderful Cob structures to live and play in and fell in love with the look of them. What a great alternative to the conventionally built house!
I did a search on the web for information about Cob Houses and found this video.
An Old Woman Of The Road
O’ TO have a little house!
To own the hearth and stool and all!
The heap’d-up sods upon the fire,
The pile of turf against the wall!
To have a clock with weights and chains
And pendulum swinging up and down!
A dresser filled with shining delph,
Speckled with white and blue and brown!
I could be busy all the day
Clearing and sweeping hearth and floor;
And fixing on their shelf again
My white and blue and speckled store!
I could be quiet there at night
Beside the fire and by myself,
Sure of a bed loth to leave
The ticking clock and the shining delph!
Och! but I’m weary of mist and dark,
And roads where there’s never a house or bush,
And tired I am of bog and road
And the crying wind and the lonesome hush!
And I am praying to God on high,
And I am praying Him night and day,
For a little house – a house of my own –
Out of the wind’s and the rain’s way.
